4D Data Centres is a UK data centre operator. They’ve provided colocation, cloud and connectivity services to hundreds of small and large-scale organisations for over 10 years, and have facilities in Surrey, Sussex, Kent and London. Their client
4D Data Centres were looking to increase their presence in search engines to generate more leads through the website for their sales team. Historically the main traffic driver to their website was email, and they where looking to diversify and ramp up their inbound business.
The process started with optimising 4D’s AdWords & Bing Ad accounts. Due to the competitiveness and cost of the industry, the accounts needed to be hyper-focused with no wasted ad spend.
B2Bmetric analysed 4D’s legacy accounts and identified the most profitable keywords from the previous year. We then revamped the structure of the accounts into dozens of adgroups to ensure the ads exactly matches the searchers-intent. Next, we tested and optimised landing pages, ad copy, bid adjustments and negative keywords to ensure the account continued to grow in profitability.
The SEO strategy consisted of ranking the identified profitable keywords, as well as creating content around more informative searches such as ‘data centre checklist’ (which 4D also appear #1). After making the website technically sound, and creating a content strategy to drive qualified traffic to the website, B2Bmetric undertook a link building campaign to secure placements in relevant and high-tier publications in order to achieve these high rankings.
