About Cezanne HR

Cezanne HR is a leading provider of flexible Cloud HR software solutions to mid-sized organisations in the UK and worldwide. Ideally suited to companies with between 100 and 5,000 employees, Cezanne HR is trusted by thousands of HR professionals all over the globe.


Project Objectives

The primary objective was to rank Cezanne HR top for their 2 primary keywords in Google (UK). These keywords are in the competitive software and systems space.


The SEO Strategy

With SaaS keywords becoming some of the most competitive across the search landscape (in particular, Google UK) and with the SERPs increasingly dominated by review websites, such as Capterra & G2, our task was to find a way to sit on top of the pile, ahead of key competition.

Our first step was an evaluation of the content and structure of Cezanne HR’s website, which we then benchmarked against companies targeting the same space. The subsequent amendments of the key pages ensured that we were providing more information, depth, context and a thorough understanding of the space, compared with competitors. This all helps to demonstrate expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness (EAT) to Google, a fundamental in SEO. Alongside this, we also configured the hierarchy of the site, ensuring it was optimised for the target phrases.

We also worked alongside Cezanne HR to develop several survey-led campaigns addressing hot topics in human resources. These were then turned into compelling infographic & microsite content that we pitched into industry and top tier press, who used the data shared with them and subsequently linked back to the site as a source reference. This approach helped us to achieve a link in Forbes, as well as other top publications.

We’ve been working with Ben and the team at Session Media for a little over 2 years on both our SEO and Google Ads PPC strategy. The team at Session Media work collaboratively with our internal teams, supporting us across technical website fixes, on-page optimisation activity, ad-hoc problem solving, idea generation, and tactical off-page activity, including digital PR and outreach, which has helped us secure placements in top tier publications, such as Forbes. All this has contributed to us consistently holding the top positions for our primary keywords in an ever-changing, competitive landscape.
